Ariel Winter Workman known by her stage name, Ariel Winter, is an American child actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Alex Dunphy in the TV series Modern Family. Ariel’s character “Alex Dunphy” may be a lot like the actress herself, but she says if she could change one thing, it would be the way she dresses. “Alex Dunphy” is the super intelligent and calculating middle child.

Ariel says that we will see “Alex” break through her “always play by the rules” mentality and get into some trouble with her older sister “Haley” (Sarah Hyland) this season. Ariel also stepped out at the I Am Number Four premiere in Westwood, Calif., on Wednesday night (February 9). In addition to her starring role on “Modern Family”, Ariel can be heard as the voice of “Marina the Mermaid” on Disney Junior’s new animated series, “Jake and the Never Land Pirates”.

She’s a cheerful and bright fish-tailed mermaid who lives in Mermaid Lagoon in Never Land. Between playing the smart and sarcastic Alex Dunphy on ABC’s Modern Family and her roles in the upcoming film ‘The Chaperone,’ Ariel Winter is one busy teenager. Soon she will also be heard as Marina the Mermaid in the new Disney Junior animated adventure series JAKE AND THE NEVERLAND PIRATES, which premieres Monday, February 14.
