Austin ISD

All schools in the Leander ISD will open two hours later than normal.  Buses will run two hours later and there will be no morning Pre-K. The Austin Independent School District will hold classes as usual at their regular start times .  UT Austin and St. Edwards University will be operating as normal.  All Austin Community College campuses will also be open today and on a regular schedule.

The latest, from the Statesman and KVUE: Round Rock, Pflugerville, Hutto, Leander schools starting two hours late. Austin ISD holding classes as scheduled. Senator Kirk Watson will announce on Wednesday, February 2, a new government-in-action learning experience, open to all Austin students in sixth through eighth grade.

The Senator’s announcement on Wednesday will take place at 9:15 a.m., at Kealing Middle School. The campus is located at 1607 Pennsylvania Avenue. One of the largest school districts in Texas, Northside Independent School District , is using GPS technology to keep up with kids who have a history of playing hooky.
