Black Ops Double XP Weekend

With the launch of “First Strike,” the opening set of downloadable maps for the game’s multiplayer and zombies modes, studio Treyarch is hosting a “double XP” weekend this Friday through Sunday. You can buy the First Strike DLC pack starting today for either $15 or in exchange of 1200 Microsoft points. Obviously the double-XP weekend will see a he up in sales for the First Strike DLC and while Xbox 360 guys will be upbeat about it, Playstation 3 ones will maybe have to wait another good month for the double-XP weekend and the DLC.

The First Strike DLC is set to be out today for Xbox 360 users and with it comes what ash become the norm now, the first Double-XP weekend for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Treyarch has confirmed the date for the double-XP weekend and while Xbox 360 users will be jumping up with joy and waiting in anticipation, PS3 owners will have to wait. Xbox 360 users can count on grabbing up Double XP this coming weekend in what is sure to be a firestorm of bullets and bombs.

This news comes from Major Nelson’s latest podcast, where Treyarch’s Community Manager, Josh Olin said, “We are very excited to tell all the fans that there is going to be a double XP weekend from February 4th through to February 6th for all Xbox 360 players.”
