Cartoon Pictures For Facebook Profile

The campaign was started by a Facebook user on December 1 with the following message, “Change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. From Strawberry Shortcake, to Judy Jetson, to Smurfette, people are choosing various cartoon pictures for their Facebook profile pictures in an effort to speak out against child violence.

And in particular, cartoons from the 70’s, 80’s , and 90’s are a huge hit! Cartoon pictures have taken over a lot of Facebook accounts and every second person is posting his beloved cartoon character’s picture on his profile as an avatar. It is hard to find any connection between posting cartoon pictures on Facebook profiles and child abuse, yet the cartoon picture campaign has become a meme that has swept the social media site.

The members of facebook were invited to change their profile pictures to a cartoon character from childhood to join the campaign for violence against children. Spreading the campaign to everyone will give justice especially to the children who were abused around the world. This is a simple way to give respect to children that are neglected during childhood and help the future of children. Last night, 28 of my closest Facebook friends (I barely know most of them) changed their profile pictures to cartoon characters, according to my news feed.
