Charmian Carr
Charmian Carr is an American actress and singer. She is best known for her role as Liesl, the eldest Von Trapp daughter in The Sound of Music where she starred with Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Nicholas Hammond, Heather Menzies, Duane Chase, Angela Cartwright, Debbie Turner, and Kym Karath.
Regardless of the dubious holiday ties, Rogers said references to “The Sound of Music” make her think of the iconic scene that features Julie Andrews singing the film’s title song on a mountaintop. Scour the Internet and you’ll find plenty of resources related to the film. A YouTube video of a flash mob’s performance of “Do-Re-Mi” has over 21 million views. The Oct. 28 broadcast of the syndicated “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” which featured the entire cast of the Academy Award-winning movie musical “The Sound of Music,” will be rebroadcast Dec. 27.
